General Site Questions
1) Why should I renew my CE
credits online?
It's really a matter of convenience and a reduction in stress.
Convenience means you can do the courses on your schedule, not
somebody else's. Start when you want, work at your own pace, finish
when you want...it's all up to you. Convenience also means working
where you want....on your home computer, on your office computer, on
your laptop at the beach...wherever you have access to a computer,
it's that easy. Change from the traditional method of earning CE
credits to on-line testing, providing you with a stress-free
environment with which to earn your CE credits.

2) Are the courses approved for credit?
The courses offered by AES are approved for continuing education
by the California Department of Insurance and the Insurance Division
of the Oregon Department of Consumer & Business Services. Our
California provider number is 43280. Our Oregon provider number is
6289.

3) What happens when I've
completed the course?
Upon completion of the final exam, your exam score will be
instantly graded and presented to you. You will see a list of all
the questions and whether your answer was correct or incorrect. A
passing grade of 70% or higher, means you have successfully
completed the course, and will be able to print your Certificate of
Completion. If you do not achieve a passing score of 70% or higher,
you will be given the option to retake the exam, at no additional
cost. You may retake any exam until successfully completed at no
additional charge.
For California producers/agents, AES notifies the CA Department of
Insurance of the course(s) you have successfully completed. The CA
Department of Insurance will then update your CE credit hours.
For Oregon producers/agents, you must print out the certificate of
completion and mail or fax to the Insurance Division of the Oregon
Department of Consumer & Business services.

9) Do I have to release my Social Security
Number?
The California Department of Insurance requests disclosure of a
student's social security number pursuant to Insurance Code Sections
1749, 1749.2, 1749.3, 1749.4, 1749.5, 1749.7, and California Code of
Regulations, Title 10, Chapter 5, Section 2188.6(b)(1). The Oregon
Insurance Division requests SSN under OAR 836-071-0101 and
836-071-0112. This information is requested so that the Department
can properly identify and assign credit to the students who have
completed prelicensing or continuing education courses. While a
student's disclosure of his or her social security number here is
not mandatory, any failure to provide this information may delay or
otherwise impede the Department in assigning credit for the
completion of such courses to the appropriate students.
